STAC survey on dress code

Tragedy Critique Groups:
1.       Group 1: Present to group 2 the two sides of the social issue you choose
2.       Then explain the side your play takes and why you choose that side
3.       Give one copy of the play to the other side and then read it out load to them
4.       Group 2: fill out the critique handout while they read it to you. (one per person)
5.       Group 2: read off what you wrote on your critique form
6.       Group 2: choose the part of the play you feel they were strongest at, and write the title of the play on the board – include where you found this (page number and where on the page)
7.       Group 2: repeat the procedure above.
One play from each group will then come up and read the section that models excellent work in the given option.
  • Strong characters
  • chorus that shows to moral of the issue
  • clear moral message
  • tragedy is cathartic – release of pity and fear for the tragic hero
  • realistic storyline
  • Tragic hero clearly models 2 characteristics of a tragic

Play Revisions – Use the critique forms an model work examples to refine your work.

Before you share your play with me:
  1. Make sure it is formatted appropriately
  2. File name: Title of your play_Name1_Name2
  3. When you share it, make sure I can edit it!

Start planning the visual component of your project:
-          Create your own calendar – day by day list of what you will need to do
-          Materials list – what materials will you need to have the Monday we return from break

HOMEWORK:

Have all materials you will need for the visual component of your project the Monday we come back from break (you will receive a grade for this)
