Starter #11:
Think about the shows you watch or the video games you play.
1.       How do they represent your gender? Give three examples.

2.       Is this a positive form of gendering or a negative one? Why?
    
    What is Cultural Anthropology?
Cultural anthropology is a branch of anthropology focused on the study of cultural variation among humans.

 Each group will get one reading and you will do the following in pairs:

Poster Expectations:
I will assign you and a partner of your choosing an article that you will read together. You will then create a poster for out gender spectrum which will include:
·         A title                   
·         An image
·         A paragraph description of the article
·         Where the article falls in the gender spectrum and why (breaking stereotypes, cultural gender norms, etc.)
o   A presentation guide (3-4 mins long)
·         How this understanding can bring more gender spectrum acceptence
DUE: 30 mins of class tomorrow

Presentation Expectations:
·         3-4 minutes
·         5-8 key points in the article
·         Where your reading falls in the gender spectrum
·         How your article can help us understand the idea of gender norms through societal influence
Presentation Reflection: While you watch presentations
1.       Take notes
2.       How does your understanding of this impact your perception of what gender is?
